The inaugural edition of “Build to Last” launched as our new open forum for creating, fabricating, and debating design and architecture. To prove that quality furniture does not require reinventing the wheel, we hosted a live workshop where participants assembled their own stools. The project relies entirely on local Swedish wood, honest manufacturing techniques, and a deliberate rethinking of material standards to maximize efficiency and affordability. By bringing people together to build on-site, the event stripped away the elitism of design, transforming furniture production into a direct, collective, and social act.
